May is Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) Awareness Month and throughout April and May the TSC community comes together to raise awareness and funds as part of the Step Forward to Cure TSC event.

TSC is a rare genetic disease that causes tumors to form in vital organs, such as the brain, heart, kidneys, lungs, liver, eyes and skin. It’s the leading genetic cause of epilepsy and highly correlated with autism. There is no currently no cure.

A past Bracelets4Hope cause was for a TSC individual named Jackson who underwent brain surgery in 2020. Now, Jackson and his family want to continue to raise awareness and funds by sharing this program with the larger TSC community, families and advocates.
